Self-esteem is related to knowing and understanding oneself.

When we get to know ourselves and identify our strengths and weaknesses, we begin to understand ourselves better and be more secure in our lives, in various aspects, such as emotional and professional relationships, health and our family.

When you accept and respect yourself, you have a positive attitude towards yourself, you're satisfied with yourself and you certainly won't be affected by what comes from outside, like other people's "opinions", because you know yourself, you trust yourself and you're satisfied with who you are.

Many confuse self-esteem with a certain self-centeredness, but they are very different values, because when you value who you are, it doesn't mean that you believe you are better than anyone else, you just put yourself first in your life and believe in your ability.

The value you place on yourself is very important for your physical and mental well-being and ends up being reflected in all aspects of your life.

The feeling of value and social competence is the combination of our self-confidence, in short our self-esteem, because we see the challenges in our life and we know that it's part of it and facing them and overcoming them is fundamental to our evolution.

But not everyone has high self-esteem and doesn't know where to start, so here are some techniques that can help, but the initiative has to be real.

  • Don't compare yourself to anyone else, we're different and that's normal, and when it comes to living, do what's good for you and not just to please someone else;

  • We usually blame ourselves for failures, but know that this feeling of guilt doesn't work in our favor, so eliminate it and give yourself the opportunity to do things differently, you are capable;

  • Confidence, don't wait for other people to motivate you. Find the motivation within yourself, know that there is an extraordinary force within you that just needs to be seen and worked on, so believe in your success;

  • Don't let the mistakes you make discourage you, they will serve as experiences for you to do things differently;

  • Learn something new - new experiences are fundamental for us to grow as people, and one of the important experiences is giving, that's right, learn to give more of yourself to others, how to practice solidarity, it will do you and others a lot of good;

  • Gratitude - always be grateful for the opportunities that arise in your life and your experiences, because it gives you the chance to help others and to improve your attitudes and, above all, your well-being;

Always feed your Being with love, trust and simplicity, be the best you can be for yourself and for others.
