Traffic violence is the third leading cause of death in the world:

  • Poor roads;
  • Faulty signage;
  • Driver recklessness;
  • Cell phone use at the wheel;
  • Drunk driving;
  • Driving above the permitted speed;
  • Disrespect for signs;
  • Lack of seat belt use;
  • Lack of vehicle maintenance;
  • Angry and stressed driver.

Any attitude that causes inconvenience and physical or psychological injury to someone in traffic is considered violence. Traffic violence leaves many families bereaved and thousands of people with physical and neurological sequelae. We need to take a closer look at this issue, and try to create preventive and educational measures.

Here are some of the behaviors that every driver should have in traffic:

  • Never drive under the influence of alcohol or any kind of drug;
  • Wear your seatbelt and demand that the passengers in the car do the same;
  • Do not overtake in a prohibited place;
  • Be ethical on the road;
  • If your vehicle breaks down, signal the location so that other drivers don't cause accidents;
  • Respect speed and signs.

If we continue to respect the rules of the road and are more prudent and aware, traffic violence will certainly decrease a lot.

At the first sign of tiredness, stress, among other symptoms that may impair your positive control as a driver, don't drive, but if possible ask someone else to drive or use app-based transportation or public transportation. Follow the laws correctly, so that you can drive safely, because it will be difficult to make a mistake and you won't cause damage and inconvenience to yourself and others. It's attitudes like this that go a long way towards reducing many traffic accidents.

Common sense is always welcome.
