Are you a caring person?

Do we really identify with the other person's suffering? Are we willing to help solve or alleviate the problem?

Being supportive goes far beyond just helping or understanding - it's a process of empathy and involvement, a willingness to help without expecting anything in return. You know that saying "Doing good is good", that's it. Do good, give the best of yourself.

The sensitivity of giving of oneself to others or to a social cause is very important for those who need it, but it is much more valuable for those who feel it and carry it out. Seeing those who need help, knowing how to listen and being willing to collaborate has always been very important and fundamental for our survival. Being together in the adversities of our lives only strengthens us so that together we can endure difficulties without fear and seek solutions to problems.

How to show solidarity?

  • Know how to help without self-promotion: There are people who remain anonymous in their gestures of solidarity while others need to show what or who they are helping, some need applause and others just spread the word to encourage others to do the same. I don't believe in right or wrong, everyone chooses the path that makes the most sense for them, but never help to promote yourself.
  • Respect the other person's culture, beliefs and position: Avoid imposing your customs and religions as a condition for support.
  • Know how to help without judging the other person: it's not up to you to say whether the person you're helping made a mistake or not. Try to focus on how you can be useful to that person.
  • Avoid exposing people: in today's society, everything is shared on social networks, such as photos, sayings and videos. Be very careful about exposing people and their actions, especially if they don't consent to being exposed. If it's really important to spread the word to set an example and get more people to join the cause, spread the word if you're allowed to.

Just as we can help people in vulnerable situations, social projects with material and emotional support, we can also collaborate in projects to donate blood, bone marrow, organs, it is of the utmost importance that we get involved in these noble causes. Be intimately willing to help others, only then will the result be success for the other and for you.
