Every day we see a great increase in innovations in agriculture that can facilitate work in the field and achieve improvements resulting in an increase in profitability. Technological innovation has been adopted by numerous companies to facilitate work in agriculture. We will highlight some of these technologies and understand how they work.

  • Artificial intelligence: the use of software in equipment that stores data, understanding the information present in that data and in this way being able to make the best decisions based on the information obtained, in addition to the fact that this process is much faster and more efficient. The results of using artificial intelligence are extremely positive for agriculture, because it facilitates work in the field and also offers greater quality, such as knowing the ideal time for planting and harvesting, greater pest control and better crop quality.
  • Smart spraying: agricultural spraying around the world has become much more technological, contributing greatly to saving water and time. Depending on the weather conditions, the equipment carries out its tasks accurately, quickly and, above all, reduces the use of agrochemicals as well as water.
  • Drones: the use of this type of equipment in agriculture has been growing, using attached sensors that can both map and spray the agricultural area, thus allowing for a more controlled and uniform application of agricultural inputs, pesticides and fertilizers, as well as transmitting data remotely in real time to the producer.
  • Sensors: the number of sensor installations in the field has been growing a lot, because they make it possible to collect data on the soil and the crop. Sensors carry out automatic commands that perform tasks in real time from a distance and also monitor local field data in relation to the weather such as rainfall, frost and wind, helping the farmer to make decisions to maximize crop production and minimize damage and costs.

The technological innovations in agriculture mentioned above are just some of the many used today in our modern world to achieve success in the production and quality of the products planted and subsequently harvested, and also to improve the quality of work for the many agricultural workers all over the planet.
