Mental Health

Mental health is of great importance for individuals to be able to manage their lives in a calm and constructive way.

Psychological, biological, economic and social factors are major influencers of mental health. Mental health is related to how we see and react to what happens in our lives and how we can harmonize unexpected situations so that they don't affect us emotionally in a negative way.


How can we identify that our mental health is negatively affected?

Mental illness is caused by various factors, such as stressful conditions, neurochemical imbalances, conflicting emotions, drug use and untreated trauma. People are often preoccupied with taking care of their physical health and forget or don't give much importance to mental health.


But how do we take care of our mental health?

Before we do anything, we have to understand who we really are, knowing ourselves is fundamental to good mental health. For each person, the tips are different, so start by knowing who you are and what you want to do with your life in order to be happy. Here are some tips on how you can take good care of your emotions:

  • Take care of yourself first, before taking care of others.
  • Always make time for yourself, such as doing something you enjoy and that gives you a lot of satisfaction.
  • Always try to maintain good relationships with people and stay away from those who might cause conflict.
  • Eat well.
  • Get quality sleep.
  • Take time out to meditate or do physical activities.
  • Practice self-praise, because you are the person who should be number one in your life. This may seem selfish, but it isn't. Self-esteem is important for mental health.
  • Understand and respect your limits.
  • Put empathy and resilience into practice.
  • Have realistic goals and objectives.


You are very important, so take care of yourself and cherish every second of your existence here. If you are in a moment of inner conflict, and have not found a solution on your own, in your self-knowledge, seek help from a medical professional to help you find yourself and succeed.
