• Enter the device's Settings;

How to format an iPhone phone

• Open the "Settings" app and tap on "General".
• Scroll all the way down and tap on "Reset". Then tap "Erase Content and Settings".
• If your iCloud backup is out of date, your iPhone will display an alert. Tap "Backup and Erase" to update the data or "Erase Now" to restore the device without updating the backup. Then enter your unlock password.
• Tap "Erase iPhone" to confirm. Finally, enter your iCloud account password to disable Find My iPhone and restore your device.
