To always strive for perfection is to believe that if we are and do everything perfectly we will be more fulfilled creating in us the feeling that error has no room and that there will always be a solution to everything, thus generating a great expectation of happiness.
It's logical that when we carry out a task at work we have to give our best and thus do our best, but we have to bear in mind that mistakes happen and it's normal for this to happen, what makes us evolve is to take advantage of mistakes and try again, now with more emotional maturity, because we're human, we're not and won't ever be perfect.
Many studies around the world point to certain elements between the relationship between normal and beyond normal when it comes to people who think they are perfectionists. These studies often come up against pathologies:
When we demand too much of ourselves or others to have perfect standards, we seek a certain pleasure in perfection.
And what are the types of perfectionists?
We are living in a time when a person's image often has to be perfect, an example of which is the standard of beauty, which is increasingly rigid, even causing an impact of stress and anxiety, which can greatly affect an individual's health.
Perfectionists need to know that this exaggerated behavior in which they demand too much of themselves and others isn't healthy and that at some point in their lives the bill will come due.
If you are or know someone with higher than normal standards, try to treat this disorder by going to a qualified professional and take care of yourself, do your best and believe that your life will be healthy and happy, because nothing in this world is perfect.
