It's common at some point in our lives for someone to ask us why we haven't married yet or when we're going to get married, as if being single is a condition of failure, when in reality it can be an option and not a condition. Being in the company of another person is super-valid and pleasant, but we can also choose to give ourselves the solitude of being super-well and happy with our own company.There are people who don't accept "giving satisfaction" about their lives to anyone, they feel free to follow what they think and believe and when you make a commitment to someone it's very likely that this "giving satisfaction" will happen;
Imagine a person with a free lifestyle in a relationship where they have to tell you what they're going to do, where they're going to go and who they're going to be with all the time. Surely both parties in that relationship are not happy, because they want different things. Sharing life with someone is wonderful when the parties have the same life project. An example of this, among many cases, is when two people think about getting married and starting a family, having children and then retiring and traveling and also enjoying their grandchildren and so many other things they can do together. In this case, both parties want the same thing and are happy that way.
On the other hand, there are people who won't be fulfilled or happy if they enter into a commitment as serious as marriage. They are free-spirited people, they love to travel, getting to know places and people, socializing with people and they don't like to be "limited", they are happy being free. It's very common to say that "singles have no one", this is not true, because being single doesn't mean being alone, it means not wanting to commit to anyone, it's just a life choice that we have to respect.
It's important to know ourselves well in order to choose ways of life that make us happy and don't harm anyone else. If you feel free, have autonomy over your life and feel that you are in charge of it, and you hate giving someone else "the satisfaction of your life", perhaps you'll be happier enjoying your single life.
