It is very important for our health to consume foods that contribute to our well-being. But most of the time we don't know which foods really favor our physical and mental health. And in order to have good health and quality of life, we need to consume foods that contribute to this;


Alkaline foods are very important in this process, because they are able to balance the pH levels of the blood, reducing the body's acidity and thus helping to eliminate toxins, leaving our body functioning positively.When these foods are digested in our stomachs, they produce alkaline effects and thus reduce metabolic acidity, because they have antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and many other important actions for our health. They favor our metabolism, the strengthening of nails and hair, contribute to our vascular health, memory, among others.


Below I've highlighted 10 alkalizing foods that contribute greatly to our health:

  • Lemon: This fruit generates an alkaline residue in the body, helping to lower the pH of the blood. It is rich in vitamins, antioxidants and minerals, providing the body with resistance and a healthy immune system;
  • Watermelon: Fruit with a large amount of water and potassium (mineral), thus exerting a diuretic effect on the body, it has a source of fiber that helps digestion and is also an oxidant, helping to eliminate toxins from the body.
  • Melon: This fruit helps neutralize urine, preventing infections, and also contains minerals such as iron, calcium and phosphorus and vitamins (A, C and B complex).
  • Spinach: Vegetable rich in fiber, minerals, vitamins and antioxidants. It helps improve digestive processes and also improves vision.
  • Asparagus: Contains asparagine, an amino acid important for the proper functioning of the nervous system.

  • Avocado: this fruit contains minerals, vitamins, antioxidants and has a good alkalizing pH.
  • Chard: rich in folic acid, iron and vitamin C. Strengthens the immune system and helps the body absorb nutrients.
  • Mango: this fruit contains a lot of water and has a diuretic effect, helping to cleanse the colon and kidneys.
