The menopause is a time of life that women experience and is marked by various symptoms that usually interfere with their quality of life. But these symptoms can be treated and life can return to normal.

The most common symptoms of the menopause are:

  • Irregular menstruation: menstruation can come very frequently or infrequently and can last for more or fewer days;
  • Hot flushes: this symptom causes women to feel very hot for no apparent reason, usually on the face or from the chest upwards, and the skin can become red;
  • Sweating: sweats, especially night sweats, are intense heat waves that occur mainly at night and can even interfere with sleep;
  • Insomnia: it is very common for women who are going through the menopause to complain that they suffer from insomnia;
  • Mood swings: symptoms such as irritability, anxiety, bad moods and tiredness can occur due to the hormonal changes that occur during the menopause;
  • Memory: memory can be a little affected during the menopause, due to the ovaries not producing estrogen, which is an important hormone for a woman's concentration and memory;
  • Sexual desire: a decrease in sexual desire can also occur during the menopause, because the hormonal changes during this phase can reduce interest in sex;
  • Skin: with the decrease in estrogen, which is responsible for collagen production, the skin becomes drier, flabbier and thinner, and there may also be hair loss;
  • Weight gain: during the menopause, weight gain can occur due to a decrease in metabolism, making it easy to put on weight.

How to Treat Menopause?

It's very important to always have a doctor, in this case a gynecologist, who will check if the woman is really in the process of menopause and for each case there will be a treatment. Another super important factor for improving the quality of life of menopausal women is physical activity, which will give them a feeling of physical and emotional well-being.

A good diet is also super important, look for healthy foods, drink plenty of water and some teas are welcome, such as chamomile tea, which reduces mood swings and also calms you down and makes you feel more at ease.

Try to take care of yourself and get through the menopause in the best possible way.
