How to deal with failure

Who in life hasn't experienced failure? We've all experienced situations in which everything went wrong, and making mistakes is part of life too, but we have to learn from our mistakes and do things differently.

It's common to think that the mistake that resulted in failure was ours alone and we blame ourselves a lot for it, believing that we weren't able to do it right, so we don't deal well with defeat. It's difficult to deal with failure, but  when we're open to understanding better what happened so that the result wasn't what we expected, we commit ourselves to doing it differently and thus turn failure into success.

Don't feel like a failure because of the mistakes you've made, they're not in you. You just haven't found the right path and it's up to you to find it. If you've failed at times in your life, which we all have, understand that you're capable of changing that situation.

Below are some attitudes that can help you:

  • Trust in yourself and know that you can do it;
  • Look ahead and see the future, maybe a project didn't work out now, but it will make perfect sense in a while;
  • Expand your knowledge by studying and seeking help from professionals who can help you constructively;
  • Learn to control your emotions, because otherwise they can be very detrimental to your success;
  • Understand that corrections to your projects are normal;
  • Don't give up, believe that you will succeed, just trust and pursue your ideals;
  • If a plan has gone wrong, make changes.

According to Napoleon Bonaparte, "Victory belongs to the most persevering." The French ruler always emphasized persistence in the pursuit of his ideals and actions, even in the face of so many difficulties encountered at the time. If your plans have gone wrong, it's normal to be frustrated and afraid of moving on, but know that you can do things differently, maybe you need to go in another direction, which may even be longer, but which will lead you to what you want so much.

It's hard to face failure, but learn from it, that's how we mature our vision and actions.
