In order for upholstery to last longer, care is super important and cleaning the furniture is also significant for its durability. Below are some tips on how to clean it carefully and successfully. Start cleaning your sofa by using a vacuum cleaner to remove all the dirt on it. If you don't have a vacuum cleaner, you can use a soft bristle brush to remove the dirt.
There are some products that we have at home that can help you in the process of cleaning the sofa:
Water and Detergent - if your sofa is made of leather or suede, detergent is a great product. In a medium to large container, put 10 drops of neutral detergent and 300 ml of warm water, mix very well. With a soft brush or sponge, rub over the dirt in circular movements and with a damp cloth remove all excess detergent and dry with a dry cloth.
Water and Vinegar - for velvet or fabric sofas, mix 1 liter of warm water and 250ml of white vinegar. Wipe the entire sofa with a clean cloth. Let it dry completely in a well-ventilated place.
Water, Bicarbonate of Soda and Vinegar - use 1 liter of water, 1 tablespoon of bicarbonate of soda and 400ml of white vinegar.Mix all the ingredients and carefully apply to the sofa with a soft brush, or it can also be used with a spray bottle, but apply to the sofa from a distance.Don't use too much product so that your sofa doesn't get too damp. Apply sparingly and leave to dry naturally in an airy environment.
Before using any type of product on your sofa, check the instructions on the product label so that it doesn't get damaged. Each type of fabric has a symbol specified on the label, which helps us to determine the correct action when cleaning it.
