We all like some kind of discount when we buy something, whether it's clothes, an electronic device, an appliance, food or many other products and services. It happens that there are people who are addicted to discounts and completely change their routine in order to research places that are giving discounts or coupons and in this way they end up consuming products excessively in an uncontrolled and compulsive way.
This addiction or mania for seeking discounts on everything may have a special reason, such as a financial crisis at a certain point in your life that made you save on your finances or a mania that the person has always had in their life. The person who is addicted to discounts when they see the promotions of products or services, even if they don't like it or even if they don't need to buy at that particular moment, they end up not resisting the discounts and make the purchase.
As I said earlier, this compulsion to buy through discounts or coupons may have been triggered by a number of reasons, some of which I'll highlight below.
There are cases in which there is a kind of competition to see who can buy the most products at a discount, and these people take pride in winning this kind of competition. We have to understand that when a person's behavior gets out of control, it is necessary for the family to realize that something is not right and that the person needs help. Awareness of the person's condition is fundamental for treatment, which can be accompanied by a medical professional who will diagnose the patient's condition and treat it.
It's not wrong or abnormal to want discounts on purchases, but when this kind of behavior gets out of hand, it's important to seek help.
