We live in a society where everything goes by very quickly, time is getting shorter and shorter. Situations in our daily lives that lead us to demand more of ourselves and of others, knowing how to wait is becoming increasingly rare, an example of this is when we have a certain time to meet, an appointment perhaps, and we find ourselves in "giant" traffic and we don't have the power to change the situation, we get irritated, nervous, because we know we're going to be late for the appointment, and so impatience can lead us to stress that certainly causes damage to our health.

With impatience and a high level of stress, we sometimes become aggressive and this behavior only causes harm to our health. Impatient people don't have a good relationship with "waiting", they think they will be harmed if they wait for too long, they become distressed and easily irritated. With the advance of technology, we have everything faster, many resources available that give us access to countless possibilities of information and in all this rush, impatient people want an immediate response and when they don't get it, they signal their irritability and are easily stressed.

For the impatient person, everything has to be done in their own time, and the opinion and time of others doesn't matter much.

Characteristics of an impatient person

  • Easily irritated when things don't turn out the way you want them to
  • You tend not to like listening to others
  • You want to be in control of everything

Certainly everyone who is impatient is anxious and has difficulty maturing their ideas in order to get a more precise result. Studies indicate that impatient people can suffer from health problems such as hypertension, stress and insomnia.

What can we do to work better with our impatience?

  • Get to know yourself, put your thoughts in order and listen better to your body, because it gives you signals.
  • Accept that not everything has to be the way we want it to be.
  • Socialize better, learn to listen to others and debate ideas in a healthy way.
  • Learn to get along in society by developing your social skills.

Be more tolerant, it will help you a lot to get along in society.
