Tips for a good job interview

We know that it's not so easy to face a job interview because it's a new work experience. We often feel anxious, insecure and this behavior is natural, but we mustn't let fear and anxiety get in the way at this time. When we see that there is a possibility of a job that interests us, we must be willing to show that we are a suitable candidate for the position.

Today, there are online interviews as well as face-to-face interviews. If you opt for online interviews, make sure that your internet connection is good, that your computer or cell phone is working properly and that the environment is quiet.

How?

  • Know the company's line of business.
  • What it produces;
  • Where she works.
  • Whether it's national or multinational.
  • Where your headquarters are.

There will be a moment when the interviewer will ask the candidate to tell a bit of their story, in order to get to know the person who is applying for the job better. So, tell them a bit about who you are, where you came from and your professional goals, don't go on too long with the descriptions, because it can tire the interviewer, tell them what is really important, being objective and clear.

You may be asked:

  • Why should the company hire you?
  • What do you know about the company?
  • What do you see yourself doing in three years' time or more?

This is why I mentioned earlier how important it is to know the company well in order to have answers at the time of the interview.Don't feel inferior to other candidates who may have more experience than you, show that you are willing to work, that you want to grow professionally and preferably in the company in question and that you are determined to be part of the group by being a good collaborator. If you are a professional with an academic degree, what is most taken into account are the results of previous experience and whether you are willing to contribute your knowledge.

If you don't have an academic degree or you're still a student, tell them how focused you are, how determined you are and that you have the potential to get involved and give your all to the job. If you have good previous experience, this is also important in winning the job. A key factor in a job interview is your dress code. If possible, before the interview, find out how the company's employees dress and then dress as if you already work there. Don't be embarrassed if you don't understand a question during the interview, please ask the interviewer to repeat the question so that you understand the question better and can answer it clearly.

And finally, if you weren't hired for a job at the company, it doesn't mean that you're incapable or a bad professional, but understand that at the time you were best suited to the position. Always strive to be a good professional by improving your knowledge and you'll certainly get a great job where you'll be happy to perform your duties.

Good luck.
