We describe an altruistic person as one who is always willing to help others, who cares about others and often forgets about their own interests. Altruistic people certainly contribute a lot to the well-being of our humanity, they are very concerned about social equality, but it must be understood that there are situations in which we can be in danger, so one must always be concerned about the safety of everyone involved in the actions.

For altruists offering help, whether material, social or emotional, greatly strengthens the social bonds that are so important for the interaction and development of our society. It's gratifying to be able to support others, because generosity also raises the quality of life of those who offer help and those who are helped. But we must have balance in our altruistic actions, because we mustn't forget our own needs, whether emotional or material.

If you usually help others without wanting anything in return, just the pleasure of seeing them happy, you are certainly an altruistic person, but know that self-care is fundamental. Try to establish a balance in your altruistic actions, taking into account your needs as well. Try to establish certain times to take care of yourself and others, so that nothing is left out, because your life also needs you. Altruism is a very noble feeling, many people have a great desire to help others, but they don't find the time or don't know how to do it. Know that you don't always need to be physically present to help those in need.

There are institutions that help many people in need and who need donations. There are also volunteer jobs all over the world that you can support. Altruism isn't just done once or a few times, it's a way of life.

Some Characteristics of Altruistic People:

  • Untuitive
  • Respects others as well as herself
  • Brave
  • Idealist
  • Knows how to support those in need without asking for anything in return

If you have identified yourself as an altruistic person, you will certainly know how to carry out your actions. Our planet thanks you for your willingness and generosity.
