In order to maintain sustainability on planet Earth, solar energy has emerged that combines technology with nature and is extremely important in helping to reduce the emission of polluting agents on the planet, because it is an alternative, clean and renewable energy.  This system is already being widely used by homes, companies, industries, rural properties or any type of establishment all over the world.

It's very common to see solar panels on roofs where the photovoltaic modules capture sunlight which is then transported to the solar inverter that converts the solar energy generated by the system to the electricity grid. Solar energy is obtained through sunlight converted into electricity by the photovoltaic system.

There are three types of photovoltaic solar energy, which produce electricity in the same way but work differently:

• Photovoltaic system connected to the grid (on-grid): this type of system remains connected to the distribution grid, generating energy during the day and the surplus energy produced during the day is returned to the utility company for use at night.
• Autonomous or isolated photovoltaic systems (of-grid): these are isolated from the grid and use batteries to store the energy that will be consumed at night.
• Hybrid photovoltaic system: this system is the combination of on-grid and off-grid, where it captures sunlight to generate electricity and at the same time stores all the excess energy produced in batteries so that it can be used at night or at another time.

Photovoltaic solar energy not only enables energy independence, it also allows us to use electricity uninterruptedly.

We know that solar energy is still very expensive and not everyone has the opportunity to purchase it due to its cost. However, demand for it has increased a lot and the cost will certainly decrease over time, giving more people access to it.
