When we talk about emotional deprivation, we're talking about people who are suffering emotionally because they think they need the other person to be happy.
They can't find the motivation within themselves to see and value themselves as someone who is important to them.
Lack of self-knowledge is a very important factor that leads a person to feel emotional neediness.
Normally, when we believe that we need others to find happiness, we certainly don't see this capacity in ourselves. We don't give ourselves love, affection, dedication and we end up giving and giving ourselves to others and often we create expectations of a return.
You have to understand that when you give yourself entirely to another person, you don't have to demand anything from them, because it's a free gift, no one has an obligation to do the same, so don't expect rewards in love, affection...
What we receive from others is not responsible for our happiness and fulfillment, but what we give to ourselves.
When we find ourselves empty and sad, the responsibility is all ours.
What signs indicate a deficiency?
In short, there are many signs that can indicate a lack of affection, but what we have to understand is that it's no good thinking that others are the ones who will resolve your emotional conflicts.
Emotional issues only concern you and only you are responsible for resolving them, no one else.
Observe yourself deeply and try to identify in yourself what you love and admire most and work on your self-love in an evolutionary way.
Always believe in yourself, in your ability to be and make things happen, without fear. And if necessary, know how to be alone, because loneliness is capable of revealing our fears and anxieties and when we consciously perceive them, these fears are better dealt with and so you recover your self-love, it's a slow healing process, but super important for those who live with this lack. How to do it?
